Screens and safety Curtains
The COVID‐19 pandemic has changed our day‐to‐day life in so many ways. During these difficult times, the safety of medical/facility staff becomes more important as they are on the frontline fighting this epidemic. Even with high safety measures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), infections and deaths have been reported among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and with the closed environment of an isolation ward, there is added fear for the risk of this virus spreading. As the virus is said to have droplet and contact transmission, isolation can be the key to safety and control of disease. This transparent curtain is helpful not only in the facility for medical professionals but also family who may be able to see their loved ones. They can be used to surround the patient’s bed (partially for the 3 sided option or be used with stable patients in isolation to be examined through this curtain. The transparency of the curtain allows visibility of the patient even from a distance, and it reduces the possibility of droplet transmission as it provides an additional layer of protection.
